The ground for the Benchen nunnery is beautifully located in Pharping, a famous pilgrimage site near Kathmandu, Nepal. On the North side the land is attached to the already existing Benchen retreat centre, including retreat houses for non-monastic practitioners as well as three-year retreat centre Benchen Clear Light and Benchen Shedra. On the South there is a marvelous unobstructed view over the valley. The Sun rises over the Guru Rinpoche caves that can be clearly seen from the venue to the East and sets down over the mountain on the Western side of the valley. As Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche mentioned, it is indeed a perfect location…
